A short one. The kind I wish I'd found three years ago at 2 a.m.
When our son Eli was diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety at age 7, I did what most parents do: I turned to Google. I found a lot of clinical articles, a lot of fear-mongering, and very little that felt honest or human.
I wanted to hear from someone who was actually in it. Who had sat in that school meeting, terrified of saying the wrong thing. Who had stared at a bottle of methylphenidate wondering if they were making a mistake. Who had cried in the car after a particularly brutal morning and still managed to pack a lunch.
I couldn't find that resource. So I decided to become it.
Wired Differently started as a way to process our experience. It became a place for thousands of parents to feel less alone in theirs.
We share the hard mornings, the wins that came out of nowhere, the things we got wrong. No filtered Instagram parenting here.
